Classic patterns, fresh color
Vintage doesn’t have to mean faded. Many of our designs take a traditional pattern and give it stronger color: damask in black and gold or deep navy, Mughal-inspired block prints, retro folk florals and blue-and-white bird toile. Others, like the blue grey tulip and green and pink botanical, stay closer to the soft palette of an old country house.
Where vintage wallpaper works best
Vintage patterns suit rooms with a collected, lived-in feel: bedrooms, dining rooms, studies and hallways. They pair beautifully with antique and thrifted furniture, and they make a new-build room feel less blank. For a fresh take, combine a traditional pattern with modern lighting and simple furniture, so the room feels layered rather than old-fashioned.
Peel and stick or traditional?
Every design is printed to order in 24-inch-wide panels, in heights from 76 to 124 inches, and ships in 2–5 business days. Peel and stick is removable and renter-friendly, while traditional wallpaper is the better choice for a long-term install. Our material comparison guide explains the difference, and our measuring guide helps you work out how many panels you need. Order a sample to see the colors in your own light first: choose the 7×7" or 24×24" sample in the Size menu on any product page.
Frequently asked questions
What is damask wallpaper?
Damask is a symmetrical, repeating pattern of stylized flowers and leaves, named after the woven silks of Damascus. It is one of the most classic wallpaper patterns, and it looks especially striking in dark colors.
What is the difference between vintage and grandmillennial?
They overlap. Grandmillennial is a modern way of decorating that borrows traditional patterns like toile, chintz and blue-and-white, and mixes them with a fresh eye. See our Grandmillennial collection.
Does peel and stick wallpaper damage walls?
Not on properly prepared walls. Read our honest answer.
